Plumbers

Plumbing and drainage is licensed at any job value in both states this site covers — there is no dollar floor of the kind building or carpentry work gets. In Queensland the relevant class is the QBCC Plumbing and Drainage licence, and the $3,300 threshold that shelters small building jobs never applies to plumbing; in New South Wales the same rule holds under its own licensing law, with plumbing, draining and gasfitting each a separately licensed line of work. Gasfitting is separately licensed in both states, so a gas hot water job brings a second licence into play alongside the plumbing one. A small plumbing job isn't exempt the way a small carpentry job can be: replacing a tap or valve is licensed work regardless of price, though each state keeps a short list of genuinely minor exceptions, like swapping a washer. Every plumber listed here is checked against their state's official register — QBCC in Queensland, the NSW Trades Register in New South Wales — not self-declared.

Coverage

We only publish a city when its data anchors exist — licence verification, analysed reviews and local pricing. Cities are added as each state's register pipeline comes online.
