For tradies
If your business is listed here, this page is the whole deal: what the badge claims, what it costs (nothing), and how to get the page changed or taken down.
What a verified listing means here
Two things have to be true before a business gets a page. First, we matched its trading name to a current entry on an official government licence register — the QBCC licensee register in Queensland, the NSW Trades Register through the government's own verification service — and we recorded the date we did it. Second, we had at least ten public reviews to analyse, so the summary on the page is counted from real data rather than padded out to fill a template.
The badge binds to that dated check, not to a permanent status. It shows the licence number, the classes and the day we looked. When the register data is refreshed and a licence no longer matches, the badge comes off — it does not go on quietly asserting something we last confirmed a year ago.
We make positive claims only. Where we cannot confidently match a business to a register record — and trading names differ from licensee names often enough that this is routine, not rare — we publish no badge and no comment. You will not find a page on this site saying that a business is unlicensed.
How to display the badge
Open your own profile — search your business name and city from the home page, or follow the link we sent you. At the bottom of the page there is a block addressed to you, with a preview of the badge and a snippet of HTML underneath it.
Copy the snippet and paste it wherever your site shows credentials: a footer, an about page, a quote template. It loads a small SVG from this site and links back to your profile, so a customer who clicks it lands on the licence number, the classes and the date we checked — not on a marketing page.
The link carries rel="nofollow". That is deliberate. It is there so your customer can verify you, not as a ranking signal, and a badge programme that hands out followed keyword-rich links is the shape Google's link-spam policy treats as a link scheme. Nothing about the badge is for sale in either direction: you cannot buy one, and we are not selling you a link.
Corrections, and taking your listing down
Email [email protected] with the page URL and what is wrong. We answer within two business days. Anything we cannot substantiate from the source data comes down straight away while we check — a disputed claim does not stay up for the duration of a review.
If you would rather not be listed at all, say so and the page is removed. You do not have to give a reason and we will not ask for one.
What we never publish
Review text. The summaries are counts of the themes reviewers raised — "14 of 22 reviews mention response time" — generated from theme tallies, never a rewrite of what a customer wrote about you.
Negative licence statements. "Not licensed", "licence not found", "could not verify": none of these appear anywhere on the site, for the entity-matching reason above.
Our own opinion of your work, a rating we made up, or a paid position. Ratings are attributed to the platform they came from and linked back to it. No business has ever paid for a listing, a rank or a badge, and any future sponsored placement will be labelled as one.
